On Saturday, May 18, at 7 p.m., the Ámbito Cultural room presents the book 'Tardes de Varenukha' by José Argimiro Cordobés Pérez at El Corte Inglés in Alicante.

Synopsis:

Dimitri, a combatant in the Russian Special Military Operation against Ukraine, tells in first person how a simple garden destroyed what the war could not break.

Accompanying the author during the presentation:

- Jesús Herrero Yagüe, writer and essayist. Author of books such as "Conversaciones con el señor W", "Algunas reflexiones y otras dudas" and  "En pocas palabras". Last year he premiered his play "Tres cuadros" in Villena. Speaker in debates, highlighting the one held with Monsignor José Ignacio Munilla Aguirre.

- Dama de Elche Choral Group that will perform: "Halleluyah" by Leonard Cohen; "Granadinas" by Calleja Ruiz Aznar and "Poetas andaluces" by Rafael Alberti set to music at the time by the group Aqua Viva.

- Román Pastor Cabrerizo rhapsode who will recite and sing verses by Rafael Alberti.
