The Cultural Hall of El Corte Inglés Santiago de Compostela presents a new session of its Reading Club dedicated to Detective Ferruchi, a choral mystery novel set in rural Galicia. The story follows Sol Cortés, a woman who returns to her hometown to open a bookshop and start over. The appearance of a murder in the community triggers an investigation that uncovers secrets, prejudices, and underlying tensions, in a narrative that blends suspense, humour, and social insight.

Marta Villar, a Galician journalist and writer, won the 2024 Premio Xerais de Novela with this work, one of the most prestigious awards in the Galician literary scene, consolidating her as one of the most interesting voices in contemporary narrative.

The activity, open to all audiences, offers a participatory space to talk, reflect, and enjoy shared reading.
