Ámbito Cultural of El Corte Inglés Santiago de Compostela is hosting the exhibition "Sentimentos de papel" by Margot G. Liñeira from June 4 to 25.
The Galician artist presents a collection comprised of a selection of the most prized works from her artistic career.
Pieces with character and personality, based primarily on the figure of a woman, in which she seeks to highlight feminine slenderness by exaggerating proportions.
She uses recycled materials in all her creations: paper, wire, metal mesh, wood, etc., which offer great creative possibilities due to their malleability. For the final finish, she uses colored paper and resins.
We commemorate World Environment Day (June 5) with this exhibition, a demonstration that recycled materials can create works of great beauty.
About the artist
Margot G. Liñeira (Boimorto) defines herself as Galician by birth and heart. Her journey in the visual arts began a few years ago, self-taught, in the midst of her maturity, driven by a latent curiosity that hadn't found its way until now. She finds great possibilities for artistic creation in sculpture and modeling.
