The Ámbito Cultural Hall of El Corte Inglés Santiago de Compostela hosts the presentation and signing of the book 'Mi madre se convirtió en pájaro', by journalist and writer Josep M. Palau Riberaygua.

Published by Editorial Viajes al Pasado, the book is a work of non‑fiction that invites readers on a journey into the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, based on the author’s experience living among semi‑contacted communities in the Manu rainforest. The work reflects on Indigenous worlds, environmental conservation, the impact of tourism and the major myths associated with these territories.

With evocative and sensory prose, Mi madre se convirtió en pájaro offers a profound look at the relationship between human beings and one of the most important ecosystems on the planet.

After the presentation, the author will sign copies.

About the author Josep M. Palau Riberaygua is a journalist, writer, photographer and university professor. He is the director of Viajar magazine and has contributed to media outlets such as La Vanguardia, National Geographic, Traveler Condé Nast and El Mundo. He is the author of several books and travel guides.
