Brotherhood gathering 'Nuances of Lent' at El Corte Inglés Málaga
- Date: At february 19
- Schedule: from 18:00 to 20:00
The Cultural Center at El Corte Inglés Málaga hosts 'Nuances of Lent,' a brotherhood discussion designed to explore the artistic richness surrounding our Holy Week. This gathering unites sight, form, and sound through sculpture, painting, and processional music: three pillars that build the emotional identity of this time of year. All this with the aroma of incense and the taste of torrijas (a type of Spanish French toast).
Participants:
- – Antonio Montiel González, a painter from Málaga, hailed by critics as “the painter who captures the soul.”
- – Juan Vega Ortega, a sculptor and religious image maker from Málaga, a leading figure in Andalusian sculpture.
- – Francisco Javier Moreno Ramos, composer and expert in religious music.
- – Paloma Artola, president of the “La Artística de Málaga” Association, granddaughter of Maestro Perfecto Artola, and scholar of processional music. Contributor to Canal Málaga Radio.
The discussion will also include a live musical performance by members of the Maestro Artola Band, under the direction of Ernesto Aurignac, adding a sonic dimension that completes this journey through the spirit of Lent.
The event will be presented by Inmaculada Urbano Castillo, director of Canal Málaga Radio.
