Conference 'Keys to Revealed Love: A Conversation Around the New Throne of the Most Holy Christ of Love'

The Royal Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Love and Our Lady of Charity continues its "Love Revealed" program with a key educational event: a conversation between experts that will allow the city to learn about the artistic, symbolic, and heritage foundations of the new throne for Christ of Love, whose debut is scheduled for the upcoming Holy Week.

The work takes on special significance as it is one of the last major designs by Fernando Prini Betés, a leading figure in sacred art in Malaga and Andalusia, who passed away in 2025. Prini, a master of the pen and ink, a self-taught designer, and the creator of iconic works such as the throne of the Risen Christ and the poster for Malaga's 2022 Holy Week, left a particularly significant legacy in this project. His artistic sensibility and his ability to fuse tradition, technique, and emotion make him an essential figure for understanding the aesthetic evolution of Malaga's brotherhoods in recent decades.

The session, to be held on March 16th at 7:30 p.m. at El Corte Inglés Málaga, will feature Pedro Alarcón, art historian and curator, founder of Casa Sostoa and a leading expert on the work of Prini, and Antonio Fernández Paradas, also an art historian, professor at the University of Granada, researcher, and renowned analyst of the heritage aspects of religious brotherhoods.

The discussion will be moderated by Fran Cristófol, a journalist and university professor with extensive experience in brotherhood communications.

The event aims to offer the general public, media, and devotees an accessible yet rigorous analysis of the new throne, with particular attention to its creative concept, its connection to the devotion to Our Lady of Love, and its context as a posthumous work.
