El Corte Inglés Málaga hosts the lecture “Una aproximación histórico-artística de Ntra. Sra. del Gran Poder”, delivered by Francisco Jesús Flores Matute, Doctor in Art History, composer and pianist. The session will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at 19:30, in an event organised by the Cofradía de La Misericordia.
The talk will offer a study and artistic analysis of the sacred image of Nuestra Señora del Gran Poder, from its origins in 1721 to the present day. It will also reflect on the different restorations the Dolorosa has undergone throughout its history, including those carried out by Palma Burgos, Álvarez Duarte, Miñarro and Pérez Meléndez, the latter completed in 2025.
The event will be presented by María Sanz Moreno, art historian.
