The Cultural Hall of El Corte Inglés in Málaga presents, on Monday 27 April at 7:00 p.m., the lecture “Walt Disney in Wonderland”, delivered by Jon Varela Muñoz de Toro and Elena Pérez Muñoz, graduates in Audiovisual Communication and founders of Mickeymanía, a project dedicated to the dissemination of animation history.

From his earliest steps in animation, Walt Disney was fascinated by Lewis Carroll’s story. The path leading to the 1951 release of Alice in Wonderland was long and filled with experimentation: the studio explored different cinematic techniques and collaborated with numerous artists before finding the definitive formula to bring to life the eccentric characters and surreal situations described in the pages of this universal work.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the animated feature, Jon Varela and Elena Pérez will highlight key milestones, creative decisions and curious anecdotes from that journey. The session will conclude with a quiz game featuring official Disney prizes.
