On Wednesday, 4 November, at 6:30 p.m., El Corte Inglés Málaga will host a screening of the second act of 'Semiramide' by Gioacchino Rossini, introduced by Bartolomé Mesa, who holds a degree in Contemporary History.

Regarded as the quintessence of bel canto, 'Semiramide' marks Rossini's farewell to Italian opera and offers a spectacular showcase of vocal virtuosity. This monumental production by the Metropolitan Opera in New York lives up to that reputation, featuring the magnificent voices of June Anderson, Marilyn Horne and Samuel Ramey.

The complete opera, comprising two acts, is screened over two separate sessions due to its considerable length. Both screenings include an introduction by Bartolomé Mesa.
