Presentation of the book Manual para sobrevivir en clase by Antonio María Hernández Sánchez at El Corte Inglés Málaga
- Date: At april 20
- Schedule: from 19:30 to 21:30
The Cultural Hall of El Corte Inglés in Málaga presents, on Monday 20 April at 7:30 p.m., the launch of the book Manual para sobrevivir en clase, written by Antonio María Hernández Sánchez. The event will be introduced by Juan Jesús Larrubia Martínez, PhD in Mathematics Education and Associate Professor of Mathematics Didactics at the University of Málaga.
The book begins with a familiar scene repeated in classrooms and homes alike: unmotivated teenagers, children falling asleep in class, families unsure how to support them, and exhausted teachers who feel that something essential is slipping away. The author argues that we are living through a silent crisis in education — a crisis of meaning. Shouldn’t education be a path toward happiness, discovery and a fulfilling life?
Yet rigid standards, bureaucracy and pressure for results are extinguishing the spark that should ignite every learning experience. This book invites readers to look at education with new eyes: more human, more conscious and closer to its true mission.
It offers tools, ideas and a different way of being in the classroom — and in life. An essential read for those who believe that education can still change the world… beginning, of course, with ourselves.
