“Así Nacen las Canciones” with Niña Polaca at El Corte Inglés Preciados-Callao
- Date: At june 15
- Schedule: from 19:30 to 21:00
We kick off Music Week with one of the three special sessions of Así Nacen las Canciones. And we open in style with the band Niña Polaca. At a peak moment in their career, the quintet is enjoying its greatest momentum yet after their first tour in Mexico, a triumphant performance at the recent 2 de Mayo Festivities in Puerta del Sol, and five sold‑out shows at La Riviera in Madrid (three of them in a row). Niña Polaca has become one of the bands with the strongest social narrative in today’s music scene. Surma (vocals), Rubén (guitar), Beto (bass), Claudia (keyboard and backing vocals) and Kobbe (drums) have just released their third album: ¿Dónde está la ONU cuando más la necesitas?
Make sure to mark this event on your calendar: the group will be in conversation with Fernando Neira, music critic for El País and Cadena SER. And between creative processes and new projects, the band will perform some of their latest hits.
- - Monday, 15 June at 19:30 hours
- - In‑person attendance until full capacity is reached

After a group road trip to Poland, they decided to call themselves Niña Polaca. Their first concerts came in September of that same year, along with the arrival of the band’s fourth member, Sandra (guitarist of Ginebras), who left the group in 2022. With pop songs tinged with garage influences and the feel of strolling through 1980s Madrid, the band defined a Spanish‑language indie rock identity. They rehearsed in a small secret basement in La Latina and began performing in the legendary circuit of small Madrid venues, where they soon heard audiences singing their songs at the top of their lungs.
