Book launch: “Casos de ovejas muertas por perros”, by Gloria Fernández Rozas

The stories in "Casos de ovejas muertas por perros" (Ya lo dijo Casimiro Parker, 2026) unfold like a distant storm: nothing happens suddenly; everything builds up gradually. A wounded animal, a house full of odds and ends, a family, a memory that returns when no one has called for it.

Gloria Fernández Rozas presents her latest book, in which each story seems to stem from a minor, almost administrative, event that soon reveals a wider web of tensions —diffuse guilt, delegated violence, the impossibility of redemption—. Something stirs beneath the surface of the anecdote. The presentation will also feature the writer and art historian Mª José Codes.

  • Tuesday 24 March at 7.30 pm
  • In-person attendance subject to capacity

About Gloria Fernández Rozas

She lives in Madrid, though her favourite places are the mountains and the lands of wolves. Her grandparents were born there, one a baker and the other a carpenter and an emigrant. A great-great-grandfather who died at the hands of a bear was also from there. She believes her love of literature comes from one of her grandmothers, who was slender and brave and recited verses.

She has spent her life talking about books and writing at the Fuentetaja Workshops, the Polytechnic University and the Istituto Europeo di Design.

In 2008, he published the book *Escribir y reescribir* (Fuentetaja Publishing and Writing Workshops). He has published the novel *¡Qué bello es vivir!* (City of Getafe Prize) and the children’s books *Zancadilla* and *Maratón de Fantasía*. His short stories have appeared in various anthologies. In May 2024, he published the novel *Los Nidos* with Ya lo dijo Casimiro Parker. He is also publishing the short story collection *Casos de ovejas muertas por perros* with the same publisher.
