Charo Álvarez presents her new book, "The Mill of Shame," on Thursday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m., on the 7th floor of El Corte Inglés Vigo.

"The Mill of Shame" is the story of a family secret told from the different perspectives of those responsible for keeping it. Each version contributes something new to understanding the story, enriching it. It also reveals emotional aspects of each of them, allowing us to understand their decisions and circumstances.

No one lies. Everyone tells the same truth, but with different meanings, just as in real life. Two versions of the same reality make it seem different and make us doubt the veracity of some. The saying "there is my truth, your truth, and the truth" makes this clear.
