El Corte Inglés is commemorating Galician Literature Day by organizing several events.

• The "Cantares miúdos" workshop will take place on May 14th.

Children who attend will be able to hear wonderful stories about Rosalía de Castro and paint some of the illustrations from the book.

“Cantares Miúdos” is a collection of Rosalía de Castro's poems, written by Rita Bugallo, with illustrations by Andrea López, and published by the Rosalía de Castro Foundation.

Rosalía was also a child, a child who read and listened to the songs her mother woke her up with in the mornings. This book contains some of her poems, allowing you to read, sing, and dream of a whole new world through their verses.

The storytelling session, aimed at children in grades 4 to 6, will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the El Corte Inglés bookstore in Vigo (5th floor).

The Rosalía de Castro Foundation is an organization of Galician interest whose purpose is to promote and disseminate the cult of the memory of Rosalía, Manuel Murguía, and their children; to preserve the Rosalía House-Museum; to conserve and enhance Rosalía's heritage by making it available for viewing and study; to care for Rosalía's Mausoleum located in San Domingos de Bonaval; and to hold events commemorating Rosalía's commemorative days.
