Óscar Vázquez Lima presents his new book, "The Night Andrea Disappeared," on Wednesday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m., on the 7th floor of El Corte Inglés Vigo.

Andrea, a three-year-old girl who was adopted as a newborn, mysteriously disappeared from her bedroom while she was sleeping. Everything points to someone breaking in through her broken window and taking her.

Inspector Mónica Andrade is in charge of the investigation. She is ambitious, professional, and meticulous… the complete opposite of Raúl Salgado, an old-fashioned police officer whose methods are out of place today.

Andrade's partner and ex-partner is Alberto Cortés, a deputy inspector with extraordinary instincts, but who keeps a terrible secret that only Mónica knows: he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

About Óscar Vázquez Lima

Óscar Vázquez Lima (Vigo, 1982) is a civil servant of the Xunta (Government of Galicia) and works at the School of Dramatic Art of Galicia. He is currently completing his degree in History and Heritage at the University of Burgos.

He has been a finalist for the Xerais and Jules Verne Awards, a runner-up in the Novelas del Camino Award, second prize in the Fuentes de la Edad National Short Story Competition, and recently won first prize in the 1st Puy du Fou Historical Short Story Literary Competition.
