Participate in the XXIII FOGUERES DE SANT JOAN “MEMORIAL REME VÉLEZ” PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS

The rules of the contest are the following:

The Federació de les Fogueres de Sant Joan convenes the XXIII Fogueres Photography Awards “MEMORIAL REME VÉLEZ", in order to show our fogueres festivals in all their cultural, festive, etc. scope... And with the following RULES:

1. Participants. All professionals and amateurs who wish to participate, from any point in the country, may participate in the contest. Minors who want to participate must present authorization from their father/mother or legal guardian.

2. Theme. The photographs presented will be exclusively on themes related to the Les Fogueres Festival, with special emphasis on whether these works correspond to those held in 2024.

3. Format and requirements: The number of works to be presented by each participant will be a maximum of five, in black and white or color. The works submitted to this Contest will be unpublished and have not been awarded or published in other contests. Digital montages will not be accepted.

They will be presented in digital format, and all types of tones and polychromes are accepted. Digital file: Photographs must be submitted in high resolution 300 dpi .jpg format. And measures 30x45 cm.4. Place of presentation and data: Digital files must be sent by email to the address xxiiicertamenfotosfogueres@gmail.com. The following information will be indicated in the email:

- Name and surnames of the author

- ID

- Address, population, province

- Telephone contact

- Email address

- Title of each of the works presented

- A comment or description will be made for each image. It must be kept in mind that these comments and/or connotations regarding the images presented could help the jury members in their evaluation.

5. Admission deadline:

The admission period will be from June 26, 2024 until 11:59 p.m. on July 3, 2024.

6. Jury Ruling:

From all the works, the Jury will make a selection of 30 photographs that will go to the final phase, from which the winning works will be chosen. Finalists and winners will become part of the exhibition in the Ámbito Cultural Room of El Corte Inglés. The Jury will be made up of people related to the world of photography and related interests, being chosen by the Federació de les Fogueres de San Joan.

7. Exhibition:

The exhibition of the works will take place in the Ámbito Cultural Room of El Corte Inglés, from July 22 to August 5, 2024, featuring the 30 finalist photographs. 8 Prizes: The following Prizes are established:

 1st PRIZE, €300 trophy and accreditation distinction.

 2nd PRIZE €150, trophy and accreditation distinction.

 3rd. CORTE INGLÉS gift card PRIZE of €100, trophy and accreditation distinction.

 Special prize “REME VÉLEZ” €150, trophy and accreditation distinction.

The Awards ceremony will take place on the date and time to be announced in due course. The presence of the winners or a person representing them will be required.

The photographs that are awarded will become the property of the Federation of Les Fogueres de San Joan, their use and insertion in the Official Magazine or any other publication published by the Federation being at its discretion and possibilities.

9. General provisions:

Participants must be the legitimate owners of the rights to the photograph, and have obtained, where appropriate, authorizations or permits to obtain and/or disseminate the photograph. The organization will not be responsible for any claim or requirement in relation to infringement of property rights, image rights or in relation to the processing of personal data.

For photographs in which minors appear in the foreground, the author will present the written permission of the parents or guardians for their reproduction, and those not justified in this way will be excluded from the competition. As well as reject photographs whose content could be offensive or inappropriate.

10. Acceptance of the Bases:

Participating in this contest implies acceptance of its Rules, as well as the Jury and its ruling. Any incident not foreseen in these Rules will be resolved by the Jury.
