The Cultural Center at El Corte Inglés in Málaga will host a round table discussion on Wednesday, March 4th at 7:30 pm, exploring some of the most significant challenges facing philosophical thought in the 21st century. Entitled "Philosophy and the Challenges of the 21st Century: Democracy, Technology, and Animalism," the discussion will feature philosophers María Esperanza Aguilar de la Morena, Francisco Miguel Macías Pozo, and Simon Cano Le Tiec (moderator).

The session will address three major themes shaping the current debate on contemporary humanism:

• 🗳️ Digital Democracy: its effects on human emotion and the limits of information management.
• 🤖 Technology: growing dependence and the discourses that attempt to impose its neutrality.
• 🐾 Animalism: the role of non-human agents and ethical awareness towards other species.

From these three fields, a critical overview of the current state of thought is proposed, paving the way for an informed debate on the benefits and obstacles that shape our era.
