On Thursday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m., the Ámbito Cultural Hall at El Corte Inglés Pintor Sorolla–Colón will host the presentation of La prisionera del Trono, the latest historical novel by Mario Escobar.
La prisionera del Trono tells the story of the youth of Isabel la Católica, her political confinement, and her rise to become one of the most powerful women in the history of Spain.
Mario Escobar holds a degree in History from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is a historian and novelist, and he directs the cultural association Historia y Debate.
Among his bestsellers—some of them translated into more than 15 languages—are La librera de Madrid, Canción de cuna de Auschwitz, and El espejo de las almas. Throughout his literary career, he has sold more than one million copies.
