On Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m., in the Cultural Area room of El Corte Inglés in Colón (6th floor), Rosario Raro will present her novel “La novia de la paz”, winner of the 2025 Azorín Novel Prize.
Rosario Raro will be the featured speaker at the Reading Club, where she will discuss her novel, The Bride of Peace, winner of the 2025 Azorín Prize. A powerful story about second chances set in southern Africa in 1901. Its protagonists, one anonymous and the other very famous, will find themselves at the exit of their respective labyrinths along with other European characters. Both will discover that, after betrayal, there is no better revenge than happiness.
The writer Rosario Raro, born in Segorbe, holds a PhD in Hispanic Philology, specializing in Literature. She has published the novels 'Volver a Canfranc', 'La huella de una carta', 'Desaparecida en Siboney', 'El cielo sobre Canfranc', y 'Prohibida en Normandía' (Forbidden in Normandy) in 2024, with Planeta, bringing her publications to more than forty editions.
She has received the Magda Portal Prize from the Peruvian Ministry of Women and the prestigious Ciudad de Huelva Short Story Prize, among other international awards. Recently, with La Novia de la Paz, she won the 2025 Azorín Novel Prize.
