On Sunday, May 19, the 68th edition of the Volta a Peu will take place in Valencia, an event organized by the Sociedad Deportiva Correcaminos and which has the collaboration of El Corte Inglés Pintor Sorolla-Colón.

Although this year the 68th edition is celebrated, it coincides with the centenary of the first Volta a Peu held in 1924. The race had its vicissitudes and was not held during the Civil War and the Post-War period, but it is the oldest athletic event of the city and one of the oldest in Spain.

This popular race through Valencia will start at 10:00 a.m. on the Paseo de la Alameda, with a route of 6,200 meters through the streets of the city and all people who register can participate, without age limit. through the test website www.voltaapeuvalencia.org/es/inscripcion/.

In this edition, the centers will give the number to each runner in exchange for a QR code that they will receive when registering online.

Registration

Registration, limited to 8,500 runners, will close on May 18, or when all the planned numbers have been sold out. It will cost €3, one of which will benefit the Fundación Mare de Déu dels Innocents i Desamparats, MAIDES, an autonomous, non-profit canonical entity whose purpose is to exercise charity, through comprehensive care for people with serious and chronic mental illness, poverty and social exclusion.

All participants who have completed the complete route will be given a commemorative t-shirt upon delivery of their participation number.
