He has directed two feature films, No te fallaré and La huella del mal, and collaborated on the scripts for Amigos... and Maradona, la mano de Dios. He coordinated and co‑wrote the book El guion para series de televisión, published by the RTVE Institute.

He is also the author of bestselling thrillers such as Círculos, La huella del mal (whose film adaptation has reached a record of more than 5 million viewers), Donde haya tinieblas, and El olor del miedo, both currently being adapted for the screen. Don’t Trust Them is his latest novel.

Don’t Trust Them

Don’t Trust Them is a cultural thriller built on real events related to the disappearance and reappearance of major works of art throughout history.

The investigation carried out by a secret organization, The Corporation, leads readers into a mystery that spans centuries and revives the imaginary world created by Fernando Marías, who had already explored this universe in previous works.

A book for readers of multiple genres. It blends thriller, mystery novel, cultural nonfiction, historical fiction, and conspiracy.

A fascinating journey through some of the most universal names in culture. Leonardo da Vinci, Goya, Mozart, Kafka, Caravaggio, Raphael, and Jim Morrison appear connected by a single mystery, turning the novel into an especially engaging reading experience.
