The legendary Granada band returns to the stage with their new album, “Espejismo nº 9”. And in the “Así Nacen las Canciones” series, we are fortunate to have them for the next session in April.
Alongside Fernando Neira, music critic for El País and Cadena Ser, this group, undoubtedly one of the most representative of the 80s and 90s rock scene, will share with the audience the creative process behind some of their most emblematic compositions and will perform a few songs.

About 091
091 is a band from Granada, formed by José Ignacio Lapido (guitar and composer), José Antonio García (vocals), Tacho González (drums), and Jacinto Ríos (bass), that has been and continues to be a national benchmark for alternative rock. Since its beginnings in 1982, it has stood out for its unique style, which fuses rock with touches of punk and new wave.
091 is undoubtedly one of the most representative groups of the 80s and 90s rock scene in Spain. Its discography includes iconic albums such as ‘Más de cien lobos’ (1986) and ‘Debajo de las piedras’ (1988), which reflect its talent for creating poetic and moving lyrics. Its latest album to date, ‘La otra vida’ (2019), reached the top 5 on the official sales chart and was chosen among the best of that year by various specialized publications.
The band leaves behind a lasting legacy with classics like "La vida qué mala es" (Life Is So Bad), "Qué fue del siglo XX" (What Became of the 20th Century), "La Torre de la Vela" (The Watchtower), "La noche que la luna salió tarde" (The Night the Moon Came Out Late), and recent gems included on their latest album such as "Leerme el pensamiento" (Read My Mind) and "Vengo a terminar lo que empezó" (I've Come to Finish What I Started). This collection of hits undoubtedly makes them one of the most important bands in the history of Spanish rock.
