The El Corte Inglés department store in Siete Palmas is hosting a Nativity scene exhibition entitled 'Purring the Child' with a traditional Canarian theme. You can see it on level S1, next to the Christmas decorations section, until January 5th.

The Canary Islands Nativity Scene Association, Lo Divino, presents this extraordinary Canarian Nativity scene, which features a sugarcane plantation where the juice is extracted using a traditional mill, visible behind the Nativity scene.

On the left, we discover a cluster of houses of varying sizes, some with balconies and flat roofs, others with the typical roofs of traditional homes, reminiscent of the municipality of Arucas. We are treated to breathtaking landscapes showcasing a world of handcrafted elements, including palm trees, dragon trees, banana plants, bougainvillea, Canary Island pines, cardon cacti, and flowers from around the globe.

In the background, on the right side of the nativity scene, we find the quarry on the cliff where the stone with its characteristic bluish-gray color, so typical of our houses and streets, is extracted.

A beautiful nativity scene crafted by the skilled hands of the members of the Canary Islands Nativity Scene Association, Lo Divino, where we can admire countless details that will evoke times gone by. Don't miss it!
