About the author

Amara Castro Cid (Vigo, 1975) holds a degree in Journalism from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and a master's degree in Applied Languages ​​from the University of Évora, in Portugal. His professional experience combines teaching, translation and journalism. In terms of writing, she has taken courses at Fuentetaja and the Escuela de Escritores, and has been a student at Carlos Segovia's narrative workshop.

His literature is characterized by his clear and sensitive voice. Amara Castro Cid takes us by the hand through the streets of Vigo to get to know close stories of resilient protagonists.

His first novel, Con esto y un biscocho, received the 2018 Red Circle Award. Time enough was published in 2020, in the Grandes Novelas collection by Ediciones Maeva. In 2024 he won the Premio Letrame for his novel Aquello que guardamos.

'Hasta siempre, Malena Giestal' is her fourth novel.
