XLVI 'Galician Costume Day' at El Corte Inglés Santiago de Compostela

The 46th edition of Galician Costume Day will be held on Sunday, July 20th, as part of the program for the 2025 Apostle's Day festivities.
Throughout the day, the costume will take to the streets of Compostela, with parades through the historic center and a final parade in Plaza de la Quintana.
This event is organized by the Galician Costume Association, the Santiago City Council, and is sponsored by El Corte Inglés.
46th Galician Costume Competition
Three main categories are established: men's costumes, women's costumes, and groups of ten or more people.
Within each category, participants can participate in only one of the two subcategories: antique costume (complete or individual pieces) or modern costume (gala or everyday).
Those interested can register for the competition until July 17.

- At 4:30 p.m., the 46th Galician Traditional Costume Competition will begin in the "Salón Peregrinos" (Pilgrims' Hall) of the Hospedería de San Martín Pinario. Participants in the different categories will be evaluated by the jury and will participate in the subsequent photo session.
- At 7:00 p.m., the parade will depart from Plaza de la Inmaculada, with the contestants and all those who wish to participate, dressed in traditional costumes and accompanied by the group of bagpipers.
- At 8:00 p.m., once the participants arrive at Plaza de la Quintana, the public parade of the contestants and the awards ceremony will take place.
